In a world of fast food and increasingly less nutritious/preservative-laden options, it's near impossible to find healthy food for your family. I had been making organic, better foods for my family... but what about the rest of my community?
After leaving my career as a chiropractor when my first son was born, I began working in the online space helping women who were about to have their babies. Though I still love that work, I began to feel a pull to be more connected to my local community and to contribute to the lives of those physically around me. And after 10 years of working from home (with kids) I was definitely craving old-fashioned human interaction!
In the winter of 2025, I suddenly felt the urge to take a break from online work and start sharing my slow-fermented baked goods with my community. I began gifting sourdough bread to neighbors and friends, who consistently resounded, "this is the best bread I've ever had!". And then I tried out sourdough cinnamon rolls and the same reviews flooded in. I knew then that it was time to make this venture official, and The Mother Loaf Bakery was born.
In our bakery you will not only find gut healthy organic sourdough bread (which is great for those who are gluten sensitive), but also twists on your favorite staple treats, like cinnamon rolls, brownies and cookies. In addition we make unique items like cardamom buns and chocolate buns that you won't find anywhere else.

The Mother Loaf runs by pre-order only at this time, meaning you place your order earlier in the week and pick up a few days later a designated drop date and time (sourdough bakes take several days!). I only make a set amount of each item each week, so once orders open don't dilly dally or you might miss out on your faves!
Once you place your order you will receive my address for porch pick-up. You'll park on the street perpendicular to ours, as ours is a single lane dead end and you'll easily get blocked in. A sign with our logo will be on the house and there will also be an open flag. Simply walk up to the house, ring the bell, and we will come out and bring your order!
